Claire moved to France at the age of seven and grew up in a French/English household. After studying English Literature and Civilisation at the University of Bordeaux, she then went on to obtain a Travel and Tourism degree which led to a consultancy position with Carlson Wagonlit Travel, an American business travel management company.
With a growing need for independence, she left to establish her own company in early 2017, helping expatriates integrate into French society by offering translation, administrative services and private French lessons. This necessitated an in-depth knowledge of the French administrative system such as carte de sejour, health, business registration and property transfers.
Claire stepped into the financial world as personal assistant to The Spectrum IFA Group’s locally based partner, Brian Furzer, in 2018 and quickly developed an enthusiasm and aptitude for financial planning. She holds the Chartered Insurance Institute Award in Financial Planning (2019) and expects to complete the Certificate in Financial Services by the end of 2020.
