• €100,000 is deposited in “Plus” for 5 years

• €100,000 “Quantum” is enhanced by 3% = €103,000

• After 12 months this €103,000 plus 4% interest is credited to your policy for further investment

• The capital returned to your policy is €103,000 plus €4,120 = €107,120

• The effective rate of return on your €100,000 is 7.12%

• The €100,000 you have invested in “Plus” remains deposited for 5 years

• €100,000 “Plus” is also enhanced by 3% = €103,000

• €103,000 is enhanced by 60% of the growth in the relevant stock market index

• Stock market index growth is measured by 13 observations during the last year thus smoothing out any peaks and troughs

• Your return (to your policy) at the 5 year maturity date is at least €108,150
