The Spectrum IFA Group and AXA-PPP Healthcare Sponsors IMD's MBA participants at the "2008 MBA Olympics".

IMD International, based on the shores of Lake Geneva in Lausanne, Switzerland, is one of the world’s premier business schools and is number one worldwide in executive education as ranked by the Financial Times’ 2008 Survey. The number one ranking is shared with Harvard Business School.

Their MBA programme is consistently ranked one of the top-three MBA programmes in the world, differentiating itself from the “large schools” by a rigorous entry process, selecting just 90 elite young business professionals from around the world (averaging six years’ business experience) for an intensive one-year MBA programme.

AXA-PPP Healthcare is a UK-based provider of high quality Private Medical Insurance to expatriates around the world. In conjunction with The Spectrum IFA Group, AXA-PPP provides health insurance to a large proportion of the class, at excellent terms and is one of the few international private medical insurers to be accepted by Swiss authorities for residential students.

The Spectrum IFA Group provides consulting services to IMD including organising all insurances for their MBA programme, and offers ongoing financial planning advice to the Faculty and graduates of the MBA programme.

From May 8th-11th 2008, IMD took their MBA class to compete in the MBA Tournament in Paris . Now in its 18th year, the annual event is the largest of its kind in the world and this year included participants of 70 different nationalities playing in 24 sports and enjoying organised events together in the evenings.

To offset the Carbon Footprint of the event, MBAT engages in various environmental activities to render the event officially certified Carbon Neutral. See “MBAT Goes Green” .

Christopher Eaborn of Spectrum IFA, based near Lausanne/Geneva and John Hunt, International Business Development Manager for AXA-PPP, attended the event which benefitted from stunning weather.

The general standard of sports was high and the levels of commitment were through the roof!

We are proud to report that IMD consistently gave a terrific account of itself in both the sport and après-sport (!) and we congratulate all for their efforts.
